Aging Well at Home is Possible

We Make Sure Technology Delivers on That Promise

Expert AI Consulting for Families and Organizations Navigating the Future of Aging

Origin Story

My mom lives with COPD, heart disease, and AFib. Some days just walking to the kitchen
means stopping to catch her breath. She never once complained about it. She didn’t want to be a burden, so she just quietly did less, and when I asked if she was okay, she always said she was fine.

I knew she wasn’t.

Then one day her heart went into AFib and she ended up in the hospital. Sitting in that waiting room, I kept thinking: I should have done more. I should have caught this sooner.

We found her the best technology we could. An Apple Watch with every safety feature imaginable. She wore it faithfully, right up until it started slipping off her wrist. It went in a drawer. And it never came out.

Nobody had asked the right questions. Nobody thought about what happens when the body changes, when the wrist gets a little thinner, when the person you’re trying to protect quietly stops using the thing that was supposed to keep her safe.

That moment is why I founded The Gerontechnology Group. My mom’s story is not unique. It is the story of millions of families doing their very best with the wrong tools. We ask the questions nobody else thinks to ask. And we find technology that actually fits the life of the person it is meant to protect.

And Her Story is Far From Unique.

The Shift Is Already Happening

Nearly 9 in 10 Americans on Medicaid long-term care are already living in their communities. Over four years, home-based care grew 13% while nursing facility use dropped 18%. The shift is real, it is accelerating, and the need for technology that keeps people safe, connected, and independent has never been greater.

At The Gerontechnology Group, we sit at the intersection of that data and that need, helping families, organizations, and technology companies navigate AI-powered aging solutions with expertise, ethics, and dignity at the center.

"The future of aging is already here. We help you meet it."
